3D scanning

We offer two methods for 3d scanning – using a 3d scanner & using photogrammetry to digitize objects.

3D scanner

Accuracy is best with the 3d scanner – Our EinScan Pro can reproduce surfaces with accuracy up to +/- 0.1mm

How it works – The 3d scanner projects a patterned light over the object and then cameras in the scanner look at how the light shape has distorted and it works out where it is in space.  Some of this happens real-time and some of it calculates after the scanning is complete.  With our scanner and our software, we can go back and re-scan any areas that were missed.

Photogrammetry

Photogrammetry works best on people and very small objects. The accuracy for this method is +/- 1.0mm

How it works – By taking a lot of high resolution photos, our software program searches for overlapping patterns so it can stitch together the scene.  The software runs after the photos are taken.
